I graduated from Ohio University with my Bachelor’s of Science in 2017 then from the University of Toledo with my Master’s in Speech-Language Pathology in 2019. I currently work at Nationwide Children’s Hospital and Upwords Speech Therapy Services, LLC as a speech-language pathologist. I specialize in providing alternative and augmentative communication (AAC) for children who are nonverbal or have limited verbal communication.  Outside of work you can find me painting or playing volleyball!

Dana earned a B.A. in Speech and Hearing Science with a minor in Disability Studies in 2019 at The Ohio State University. She then attended West Virginia University, obtaining her M.S. in Speech-Language Pathology in 2021.  She is proud to say that UpWords Speech Therapy Services is her first job post-graduation. Although she is still navigating her passions, she has a high interest in stuttering, augmentative and alternative communication (AAC), and apraxia of speech. Some of Dana's favorite hobbies include crafting and tending to her in-home garden (despite her cats meddling with both of those).

Holly Lind-Combs, M.A., CCC-SLP (PhD Candidate)

Speech-Language Pathologist

After graduating with a Master of Education in Communication Sciences and Disorders in 2014 from the University of Virginia, I began my career as an SLP at Nationwide Children’s Hospital, specializing in working with children who are deaf/hard of hearing. I then worked for a few years as an elementary school SLP in Charlottesville, Virginia, before returning to school (and to Columbus!) to pursue a PhD in Speech and Hearing Science at Ohio State beginning in 2019. I enjoy being back in school but missed working with kids, so I started part-time at Upwords at the end of 2020. In my free time, I enjoy being out in nature with my family and two crazy dogs!

Dr. Calli graduated from Otterbein University in 2014 with a Bachelors in Allied Health. Graduated from Kettering Medical College in 2018 with a Doctorate in Occupational Therapy. Since graduation I have worked in home health early intervention, an outpatient pediatric setting, and I currently own a mobile pediatric practice based in Delaware, Ohio titled Confident Kids Therapy, LLC.  I have experience working with children of various ages, diagnoses, and abilities. I am passionate about early fine motor development, handwriting, sensory processing, executive functioning skills, and building independence with activities of daily living. I enjoy working with families and providing them with practical solutions. I practice a family-centered approach that I feel best supports the child's development and progress toward their goals. In my free time, I enjoy being outdoors and playing with my daughter, traveling, sewing, and being on the lake when it's warm.
