Updates and COVID-19

It has been a while since my last post and quite a bit has changed! In November 2019, UpWords Speech settled into a new office space at 110 N. High St., Suite 110 in Gahanna. It is spacious and bright and super comfy! There is also plenty of parking space and minimal traffic. Unfortunately, due to COVID-19 our office space is currently closed until the order to stay home is lifted. However... we now provide TELEHEALTH services! Telehealth services are a way for your child to receive speech and language services via online communication and in the comfort of your own home. Despite the surge in telehealth or teletherapy due to COVID-19, this service delivery model is not new. It has actually been growing significantly in the last 5-7 years. It is common to think that perhaps your child is too young for teletherapy however through video connection with his/her therapist, online games, and parent coaching, this type of service delivery is just as effective.
